William de Lillo 1960s Rhinestone Glamour Suite

William deLillo and Kenneth Jay Lane designed oversized jewels that defined the "look" of faux jewelry in the 1950s and 60s. DeLillo's jewels were always large in scale and bold in design. Period Vogue magazines attest to the popularity of his collections during this era.

This suite consists of "twisted" rhinestone strips which become very 3 dimensional when overlapped. When worn these epitomize more the tailored evening glamour of the 1950s. Hundreds of hand set Swarovski crystals are set into the flexible rhodiumed metal. Necklace and bracelet can be joined for a longer length approx.23".

Classic and timeless event jewelry.
