    Kenneth Jay Lane's pave fish clasped beads of oversized sodalite beads. In each fish's mouth is grey faux pearl. The David Webb inspired necklace originally had matching pearl beads but were replaced with semiprecious sodalite beads as the pearls were damaged. The look remains the same and is actually even more luxurious with the addition of the blue stone beads with silver flecks. Signed K.J.L. Laguna.

    Betty Cooke has been designing jewelry since she graduated from the Maryland Institute in 1946. Back then she and her husband, Bill Steinmetz, renovated a house on Tyson Street in Baltimore, Maryland and built a studio for the selling of her designs. Her first important recognition came when the Walker Art Center included some of her pieces in their Of Good Design show in the mid 40s.

    Wonderful Victorian butterfly brooch with extraordinary detailing. The wings are panels of rock crystal which encase genuine butterfly wings. The iridescence of the wings is captured under the rock crystal and is as crisp as when the piece was mounted over 100 years ago. Tiny cabochon rubies form the eyes. Fine detailed workmanship in the gold body and head. A chain can be run through the pin shaft to wear as pendant as well. 1880's USA.

The lion (her Astrological sign), the Kilt Pin (her visits to the Scottish Highlands) and the gilt Baroque of her native France. This large gilt bronze brooch is made by hand by Maison Goossens. A spiral of wirework is wrapped around the Kilt pin, onto which is attached her lion head motif. A beautifully and practical brooch for securing a scarf, sweater or on a suit.
