French 1920's Japanesque Art deco floral lame broche and cerise chiffon velvet kimono inspired opera coat. Japonism is the influence of Japanese art, fashion and aesthetics on Western culture. The term is used particularly to refer to Japanese influence on European art, especially in impressionism, and in fashion especially in the early 20th century.
Cut as an oversized slashed square with attached deep velvet sleeves. No closures. Lined in silk chiffon.
