Unusual figural sterling fruit bowl from the early 20th Century. An Art Nouveau maiden’s face is centered in the base of the bowl with her hair strewn with leaves and berries in high repousse along the large decorated lip.
The American maker’s mark is illegible as it was struck twice, but, it is dated 1903. An extremely beautiful and unusual sterling bowl in the Art Nouveau taste.

Items were made of the finest quality and designed specifically to meet the needs of a sporty and demanding clientelle (think Ernest Hemingway, not Dree Hemingway).
Included in the original cowhide leather case are a pair of extendable chrome finish travel hangers for those long trips abroad. So elegant and vestige of a time gone by. Although considered cumbersome by today’s standards, these types of travel accessories were de rigeur when when hunting, fishing or on safari.
