    Charming "Doll" proportioned hat which sits atop the crown of the head decorated with a lush pink oversized felt bow. A pink felt band also holds the hat in place on the back of the head and helps to secure the tilt of the miniature hat propped above.
    Striking contrast in the black lacquered straw against the stiff pink felt.
    This elegant design was purchased by the American manufacturer from a french modele by is  and retailed at Gimbel Bros. NY. 1930's USA.

  • Name:  Amazing Elsa Peretti Snake Belt

    Early Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co. sterling serpent head belt. Amazing scale and quality, this is the largest of the series of sculptural snakes produced by Peretti in the 1970's. The deep grey leather belt loops through the mouth and doubles over in a knot which is held by the fangs of the snake. The modeling and sculptural quality of this piece makes it iconic and special. Originally gilded over sterling, the finish has worn to a bright silver. The buttons which hold the belt to the snake head, however, remain gilt and there are even glass eyes in the sockets. Designed during the period where she accessorized all of Halston's shows. One can as easily see this ornamenting a simple cashmere T shirt dress or coiled on a table as objet. Head: 4" x 2.5", Belt 46". Overall Excellent condition. 1970's USA.

This is the largest of the "Heart" series and is no longer in production. With original hallmarks dating to 1979 by Peretti for Tiffany. The original owner has also added a pin fitting for use as a massive brooch.  Made during the period where she accessorized all of Halston's shows. Heart 4" x 3". Belt 44".  Belt is .75" wide.     The Coppola e Toppo company was formed in the late 1940′s by brother and sister designer duo, Bruno Coppola and Lyda Toppo in Milan, Italy. After small commissions for Dior and Balenciaga, Elsa Schiaparelli commissioned a line of faux coral bead jewelry, which launched them to the top of the couture fashion echelon. Pucci and Valentino followed with more commissions. This allowed them to increase the number of their jewelry designs under their own trademark, “Made in Italy by Coppola e Toppo”.

     Hubert de Givenchy classic "Breakfast at Tiffany's" silhouette 1961 Haute Couture large brimmed straw hat of deep aqua. with silk grosgrain band and bow.

    Givenchy designed for many celebrity clients, but his best-known client (who became a close personal friend) was Audrey Hepburn. Givenchy and Hepburn met in 1953, when she was just a rising star; he designed her costumes for Sabrina (1954) and helped to define her classic, gamine style. Over the following decade, he designed her costumes for TiBreakfast at ffany's (1961), Charade (1963), Paris When It Sizzles (1964) and How to Steal a Million (1966). The Givenchy brand also released a fragrance inspired by Hepburn called L'Interdit.
