    Wonderful heart shaped pin dish with charming transfer graphics centered around the “Isle of Man” floating in the “Ocean of Love” surrounded by the topography of human emotions. Faith, Charity and Piety unfortunately don’t hold much territory.

    This antique piece from the 1930’s is beautifully detailed and edged in gold (as all hearts should be). It’s not priced to sell as we love it a little too much, but, if you stumble upon a similar item while rummaging and shopping, please be sure to grab it.

    Wonderful 19th Century Coral cuff of a winged putti playing his flute. He sits surrounded in a garland of carved flowers and vines. Some of the fully carved 3D flowers are bolted onto the garland. Tapered coral “lonzenges” form the bracelet and there is a coral bead plunger at the hidden clasp. A beautifully detailed period piece. Excellent condition. Italy 19th Century.

    Chanel Rock Crystal Runway “Ice” Necklace from F/W 2010 . This is a one of a kind runway model, never commercialized in stores. A massive rock crystal quartz specimen is mounted on silvered bronze as the centerpiece and hangs from a jangle of silvered chains with cascading pave “CC” logo charms. Collector quality. Size: Pendant 5.5″ x 4.5″ x 1.25″. Total length 19″ with 7″ extender chain. Chanel F/W 2010 “Iceberg” Show description: “Freja Beha Erichsen and three bears on an ice floe. This was the arctic scene at Chanel, where giant chunks of bona fide iceberg, specially transported from Scandinavia, formed the frozen landscape around which models solemnly splashed through a sea of ‘berg-melt in shaggy snow boots with ice-block heels.” Fur-fringed embroideries and ice jewelry conspired to create intensely worked ruffled and beaded silhouettes that glinted with rock-crystal neckpieces and fistfuls of rings.

    Large and impressive Art Nouveau pendant by Elizabeth Bonte, France. An Iris (which was a favored motif in the period) is hand carved of natural horn and assembled in two levels for dimension and depth. Most pendants from the period are much flatter and less ornate.
    The horn is then hand patinaed in different tones for depth and detail. Pate de verre beads in icy blue are added onto the silk cord and tassel.
    Elizabeth Bonte, studied at the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs and is considered to be one of the top masters of Art Nouveau horn jewelry.
    Pendant: 4″ x 2.5″. Tassel 5″, necklace 30″.

After small commissions for Dior and Balenciaga, Elsa Schiaparelli commissioned a line of faux coral bead jewelry, which launched them to the top of the couture fashion echelon. Pucci and Valentino followed with more commissions. This allowed them to increase the number of their jewelry designs under their own trademark, “Made in Italy by Coppola e Toppo.
